Great turnout for Trust’s first Recruitment Fair

Potential employees had the opportunity to learn about Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust and explore opportunities at its first Recruitment Fair.

Waltham Toll Bar Academy hosted the event to promote current and future vacancies across the Trust’s four secondaries, three primaries and one sixth form.

Senior members of staff and the Human Resources team were on hand to discuss vacancies and help guests apply or express an interest when a suitable vacancy arises or they finish studying.

Student Ambassadors from Waltham Toll Bar’s Sixth Form College showed visitors around the Academy.

Chief Executive Officer of Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust, Martin Brown, said: “It was great to see so many people turn out to our event.

We are keen to promote the Trust’s offer to potential employees and feel that it was important to allow people a glimpse of what it’s like to be a part of our team.

We have some fantastic opportunities for the right individuals in teaching and non-teaching roles.

The Trust has undergone more than just a change in leadership, name and logo.

We are proud of our collaborative approach, both between colleagues in the Trust and with partners across northern Lincolnshire.

We intend to make a difference to the life chances of young people across our region, and we know this will only be realised by continuing to employ first class individuals in teaching and non-teaching roles.

Whether you are at the start of your career or more experienced and seeking a fresh challenge, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”

Principal of Waltham Toll Bar Academy, Nigel Whittle said: “We had a great turnout and I’d like to thank those who came along. Judging by the levels of interest, they found it worthwhile.

We were so pleased to be able to host this recruitment event.

We hope events like these will showcase what we have to offer as an employer and what our Trust is all about.

We are grateful, as always, to our Students Ambassadors who showed guests around the site and to all staff who joined us this weekend to help bring the event together.”

Year 12 student, William Jones, played piano to add to a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to chat to staff. Award-winning local business Riverhead Coffee provided brunch.

The Trust employs 725 staff in its seven schools across northern Lincolnshire. They are secondaries Waltham Toll Bar Academy, Cleethorpes Academy, Louth Academy and Somercotes Academy; primaries Reynolds Academy, Pilgrim Academy and Theddlethorpe Academy; and Waltham Toll Bar Sixth Form.
